DiSTRICT 8
District 8 is the textile and clothing capital of Panem. Since its existence, District 8 had served the Capitol by designing and producing all clothing and uniforms for the Peacekeepers, but after the Mockingjay Revolution, District 8 has moved on to craft clothes and linens that can be bought throughout Panem. District 8 still does produce the extravagent clothing the Capitol loves so much but it charges exorbant prices for them, making these articles more tokens than actually clothing. Having been one of the bravest and most valient of districts during the Revolution, District 8 bore the brunt of fighting and even today, is still recovering from the damage it suffered. District 8 is an industrial zone and not a place to go if you be in the quiet or with nature. However, District 8 does have access to the coast and many of its residents have also taken up a second occupation of clam catching, lobster hunting, and sea-fishing, even doing some whaling. In fact, District 8's fisherman have begun to compete with District 4 over the fishing and seafood market. With a population of a 122,000 about, District 8 is a normal sized district and has also many different arcitechtural wonders, like its clock tower or its large bridge.
